What type of car is cheapest to rent?
Generally, the cheapest models to rent are compact or economy vehicles.
Can I rent a car at 18?
In some states, you can rent a car at the age of 18; however, the legal age to rent a car in most states is 25 years old. You may rent a car at some Enterprise locations between the ages of 21-24 for an additional young renter surcharge.
Will Enterprise pick me up?
Free pick-up service is available from Enterprise at non-airport locations and during normal business hours. To schedule your pick up time or make additional arrangements, please call your local rental office directly. Once you're picked up at your current location and back at the office, a friendly rental representative will complete your paperwork and have you on the road in no time.
Can I pay for the rental of a car for another individual?
The renter of the Enterprise vehicle must be present to sign the rental agreement and provide their credit card at the time of pick up. The renter cannot provide a credit or debit card belonging to someone else for their use. If you wish to pay for the Enterprise rental car, but have someone else drive it, you can rent the vehicle in your name and add them as an additional driver.
I want to return my car early, is there a penalty to do so?
Enterprise does not charge customers more for returning a car early, and you will only be charged for the days you had the vehicle (excluding prepaid reservations). If you need to return the vehicle outside of business hours, check the local depot’s car rental return policy.
What is your pet policy?
Pets are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers need to keep pets crated and return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair to avoid cleaning/detailing fees. Service animals used by customers with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier.

What are your driver license requirements for renting in the US and Canada?
Customers who reside in the United States, U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued driver's license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted and the driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. Customers travelling to the United States and Canada from another country must meet the above requirements and, if the license is not in English, provide an International Driver’s Permit or suitable translation. Agents may also request additional identification.
