An International Driver's License is required at your travel destination if your driver's license if not in the language of the country you're visiting. Even if it is, an International Driver's License can make things run more smoothly at the rental counter. And if the police pull you over, they can read your license as it's written in 10 languages and serves as an officially recognized translation of your local driving license in over 150 participating members of the United Nations. You should always have your valid local driver's license and passport to show as well.
This information is available after you've selected a vehicle or after you've booked a car with GoSee. Once you've selected a vehicle, you can find the address for the pick up location (for example in Sydney, Milan, or Las Vegas) under the vehicle details on the left hand side.
If you've already booked, depot location and pick up instructions can be found at the bottom of your confirmation email.
The excess or deductible amount is the amount you are liable for in case of any damages to the vehicle. The amount could increase over and above the excess if the damages caused are excluded by the supplier's policy. So be sure to read the fine print!
A bond or security deposit is the amount the supplier will hold or authorise from your credit card. The most common way a rental company will collect this is to put a hold or "freeze" on the bond amount on your credit card.
Some rental companies will only take an imprint of your credit card and keep it on file until you bring back the vehicle undamaged.
Your credit card will only be charged once you have a confirmed booking. At that time the deposit will be collected. Each rental company has different policies.
Some companies require full payment upfront whereas others do not require final payment until you pick up the vehicle. Please see the payment details for when the final balance is due. This final balance is automatically taken from the credit card you have nominated, on your due date. No further action is required on your part.
If you need to change your booking, you can login to our website and manage your booking. You’ll need the email address you made the booking with and your booking number, which begins with IM. In addition to changing your booking, you can also view your confirmation, add extras, update your details, and cancel your booking.
Please note that if you make changes to your booking, such as the date of travel, the vehicle rental rates may change.
The cancellation fee you will be charged will depend on the rental company you’ve booked through, as they have different terms and conditions regarding this. Please note that deposits are nonrefundable within 72 hours of pick-up.
If you're cancelling online, the cancellation fee will be shown under Manage my booking when you select to cancel. Some rental partner vehicles aren't able to be cancelled online. If this is the case for your booking, you will need to contact us.
