How much does it cost to hire a campervan in France?
There are a number of things that impact the cost of a campervan rental, such as the time of year, vehicle availability and the type of campervan you're after. Can I travel to France in a campervan?
Yes, you can. A lot of rental companies will allow you to pick up a campervan in one location and drop it off in another. One of the great things about Europe is that you can drive to another country within just a few hours, so starting your campervan journey in one country and ending it in another is easy!
Can you sleep anywhere in a campervan in France?
There are lots of places you can sleep in your campervan in France, but you can't do this just anywhere. Generally, you can park beside roads in the same way as other vehicles, but not along the coast or national parks. Your best bet might be aires, which are free or cheap motorhome camping spots in French town and villages. The don't necessarily provide many facilities, but they keep the budget down and are plentiful. Consider using apps like Park4Night or Campercontact to help with finding somewhere to park up for the night.
